Window Tint vs Sunscreens

Sunscreens are screens made in varying tightness’ designed to shade your glass. 80 and 90 screens are most popular in AZ. Available in 5 colors. Depending on manufacturer, screens can last from 3-10 years. Screens are made to be removed for cleaning the screen and glass. Views will be distorted, however visibility is still very good. Daytime privacy will be achieved. Glass features will become screens. Sunscreens will carry 3-5 year warranties.
Window tinting is designed to give you sun control without distorting your view. Tinting is as clear as your glass, available in varying shades from very light to very dark. Cleans like glass. Carries a lifetime residential warranty. Some products will last as long as your glass is functional, 20+ years, some will last 5-10 years. Daytime privacy can be achieved, appearing as more expensive glass when professionally installed.

Window films can be applied to many types of glass including, but not limited to: single-pane, dual-pane, and Low-E.  Contrary to belief, window films do not just cut out heat when the sun is shining into your home, but also cuts down on UV exposure, glare, and heat gain.  In fact, LLumar Window Films have been endorsed by The Skin Cancer Foundation.
