What is Anti-Graffiti Film?
Description:
LLumar explains their anti-graffiti film (aka LLumar Sacrificial films) as specially designed films, nearly invisible once installed, that provide a removable, sacrificial surface that can reduce or eliminate the need for expensive glass replacement.
How it Works:
The film is applied to the surface you wish to protect. This could be an outside application to a storefront window, a bathroom mirror, on buses, in malls, to outdoor billboards, bathroom stalls, and any other flat surface. If these items are “tagged”, the film can be easily removed and replaced. There is generally no need to replace a mirror, glass, bathroom stall, etc if anti-graffiti film is applied.
Cost of film versus replacement:
Cost can vary on size as anti-graffiti window film is priced per square foot and variable such as ladder work and other obstacles come into play. However, a single replacement of just one window can easily exceed ten or twenty times the cost of film installation! Basically it is almost always less expensive to install anti-graffiti film than to replace what has been damaged.
Future Vandals?
No one can predict the future, but the main reason people vandal something is for recognition. Therefore, removing the vandalized object before this occurs will defeat the purpose of the original tagging and the vandal will move on.
What can anti-graffiti film be placed on?
Any flat, non-painted surface, can use anti-graffiti film. See pictures below for some examples.
